Several thousand independent retailers are expected to stop selling Vodafone products for three days starting on July 25th. The move comes after two previous boycotts failed to convince the phone company to reverse its decision to cut commission paid for mobile top ups. An independent retailer from the north of England, Kevin Hunt, is leading the protests. He urged more small shops to join the campaign as he said they were stronger "collectively". Mr Hunt added: "Our campaign is gathering strength and receiving excellent press attention. However we must continue with our actions if Vodafone is to reverse their decision. "Vodafone have said in their response that they will not process another rate cut for two years. But this indicates that their long term strategy will probably be to continue reducing rates."
